Tai chi and chi kung classes are taken by Ken Gannon & Linda McQuillan.
Ken, who is currently 4th dan, started practising aikido in 1977 at Trinity College, Dublin under John Rogers 5th dan (Irish Aikido Federation). Linda started at the same dojo a couple of years later. From 1979 Ken taught at the dojo with Linda as assistant instructor. In 1986 they both moved to London, where they trained under Kanetsuka Sensei 7th dan (British Aikido Federation) at the Ryushinkan dojo, both as assistant instructors. They opened North London Aikido Dojo in 1999. They have also taught courses in Ireland, the Isle of Man and Greece.
Ken is Director of Research in psychology at the University of East London.
Linda is 3rd dan in aikido, and has dedicated more than 25 years of her life to the study and practice of self-development, health and well-being. She is a Certified Ohashiatsu Consultant and has undergone many years of training in Eastern approaches to movement and energy. She is an Ohashiatsu Instructor and is the co-ordinator for the Ohashiatsu Programme in London. Courses in Ohashiatsu are run at the WellBeing Centre.
In addition to Aikido, Ken and Linda are both students of Master Lam Kam Chuan, and are qualified instructors of Tai Chi and Chi Kung. They also study Da Cheng Cheung.
